Jesus Teaches About Prayer Matthew 7:7-8
"Ask, and what you are asking for will be given to you. Look, and what you are looking for you will find. Knock, and the door you are knocking on will be opened to you. 8Everyone who asks receives what he asks for. Everyone who looks finds what he is looking for. Everyone who knocks has the door opened to him.
I read this passage last night and find it fascinating that Jesus himself spoke these words. It just shows how little faith we often show in our prayers. We just have to be persistent in what we want and continue to surrender to the Lord and to his will. It's all about walking with the Lord day by day. What little faith I have! All God asks of us is that we ask, seek, and knock. We just have to continue with our requests and the Lord hears our prayers, he is just waiting for his perfect timing. What better than to trust in than God's will and his perfect timing? He knows evderything. He knows what we are ready for and what we are not ready for. He knows ALL THINGS. Just because God doesn't open up the door the first time you knock, doesn't mean that he won't eventually..... Be encouraged today.

Hey!!! We're back in town now...we got in around 5 last night. I hate that I couldn't go to see Priscilla speak last night...was it good?
I love this passage...even though He may not answer the way we think He should, He does hear and always answers in some way. We have to mold our minds around what He wants, though. And sometimes that's hard.
